Innovation & Career Fest
Brooklyn Builds the Future is a borough-wide Innovation & Career Fest bringing together 300+ students from Brooklyn schools for a one-day, immersive experience designed to bridge the gap between education and the future of work. From tech demos and hands-on workshops to career speed networking and internship interviews, students will explore real-world pathways in STEAM, entrepreneurship, and emerging industries. This is not your average career day, it's a launchpad for the next generation of creators, innovators, and problem-solvers.

Many schools lack capacity, access, and partnerships to deliver engaging, future-ready programming
Students from underserved communities are disproportionately left out of tech and innovation pipelines
There’s a disconnect between student potential and real-world opportunities
Today's students need more than diplomas, they need exposure, experiences, and access to compete in the modern economy.
Our Objective
Brooklyn Builds the Future is a borough-wide initiative that:
Brings real-world innovation into the school experience
Exposes students to emerging careers in tech, design, AI, entrepreneurship, and more
Creates meaningful access to corporate demos, college engagement, and startup ecosystems
Offers students the chance to interview for internships with companies and local businesses
Equips students with the mindset, skills, and connections to thrive beyond the classroom
We make the future tangible for students, educators, and the communities we serve.

Inter-school teams compete in a tech build challenge (e.g. robotic arm, delivery bot). Winners present at closing showcase and receive awards.
Students sign up in advance for mock or real interviews with corporate and startup partners (pre-screening required).
Business Case Challenge
Inter-school teams compete in a real world business case challenge to solve a pressing problem a large corporation is facing.
Hands-On Innovation Demos:
Interactive workshops and tech stations hosted by companies, startups, colleges, and MWBE vendors. with professionals across industries.
Career Speed Networking
5-7 minute round-robin conversations with professionals across industries.
